1. Politics - Ibadan Airport: Gov Seyi Makinde denied collecting ₦50bn from President Tinubu for the Ladoke Akintola Airport upgrade, saying it's fully funded by Oyo State. This follows a claim by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Monday. 

2. Aso Rock: Senate President Godswill Akpabio clarified there's "no absence in Aso Rock" — Tinubu is on a 3-week working vacation in Europe, while VP Shettima is at the 81st UN General Assembly in New York. Akpabio said he is NOT acting President.

World — UNGA week in New York

The high-level General Debate of the 81st UN General Assembly opened Tuesday in New York and runs through Saturday. 

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres delivered his final General Debate address — his decade in office has been defined by war, COVID and geopolitical divisions. In that speech he urged leaders to regulate AI, end wars, focus on climate and overhaul UN institutions. 

Updates today include US President Trump, France's Macron and Brazil's Lula addressing the war in Gaza. 

Poland's foreign minister Radosław Sikorski, in New York for UNGA, warned the Ukraine war is an "existential" threat to Poland.
